Boxes, from numbers to the laser bed.

No download, no account. Projects stay in your browser. Read the safety notice before you cut.

What it does

Finger-jointed boxes

Type the size, material thickness and kerf; BoxForge draws every panel with matching finger joints, inside or outside dimensions, and keeps the joints consistent when you change anything.

Lids, hinges and features

Fixed, removable, lift-off and sliding lids. Living-hinge corners, open faces, handles, holes and ventilation slots. Ten ready-made templates to start from.

Artwork and photos

Engrave text, imported SVG or photos onto any face. Keep-out zones stop you from engraving through a joint.

Beds and nesting

Parts are packed onto as many beds as your laser needs. Drag, pin and rotate parts, or freeze the layout and arrange it by hand in the enlarged view.

SVG and GRBL G-code

One SVG and one G-code file per bed, with separate pass counts for cutting and engraving, or an engrave file and a cut file per bed. Preview everything in LightBurn, LaserGRBL or your usual software.

Check before you burn

3D preview of the assembled box, a printable paper mock-up at 1:1, structured diagnostics, and an export dialog that makes you confirm feeds and powers.

Also here: CoinForge, a challenge coin designer

Design two-sided challenge coins with text on an arc, emblems from SVG, images, rims and reeded edges. Export them for your laser (engrave a blank with a positioning jig, cut and engrave from sheet, or cut and stack layers) or as STL and 3MF relief meshes for your 3D printer. Same offline-first approach, separate app and projects.

Read this before you cut anything

BoxForge writes files; your laser does the dangerous part. The same notice appears when you first open the app, and you can reopen it from the status bar at any time.
